The sandwiches are huge and loaded. Definitely worth the price. Just make sure not to wait too long to consume, otherwise the bread will absorb all the sauce.
Their sandwiches are as good as everyone else says. This place has a long and storied history. Also, recommended by KQED, according to one of the their articles a month ago. Prices may be higher, but the portion size and flavor definitely make up for it. May need to wait a while in the middle of the lunch rush, but it's worth the wait.
Their Dutch crunch sandwich is amazing. Go here! Such a hole in the wall and I've already come back twice!

In true deli service fashion, you order at the counter, stroll through the corner store drinks and snacks for 10 mins, and wait for them to call you. Grab your sandwich, a drink, a bunch of napkins and head on over to Balboa Park to the tables to enjoy.
Roxie's Special (5/5): one day I'll try another special sandwich but I can never resist this classic. The dutch crunch is perfect. Perfect amount of veggies to meat ratio. Ask for it toasted!
